The actress has admitted that even though her mother Goldie Hawn drives her crazy, her sense of humour is a blessing in disguise when it comes to providing some light relief.
Kate, 31, has previously described her mother as the woman she has learned the most from and who she looks up to.
“My mother is hilarious and adorable and cracks me up,” she told the British edition of OK! magazine. “It’s just me, my mom and a lot of boys, so for us we’re this relief for each other among a lot of testosterone.”
Kate’s biological father is Bill Hudson, but Bill and Goldie divorced eighteen months after Kate’s birth, so she and her brother Oliver were raised by her mother and her long-time partner Kurt Russell. Kate is proud of how she was raised and has praised Goldie for being such a positive influence.
“My mother never tried to control or smother me and part of that is due to her life experiences,” she said. “She’s a great mom and grandparent and she really is just an amazing woman.”
Kate has six-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson, and is currently pregnant with her first child with rocker Matt Bellamy.
